Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Section Leader, we are looking to recruit a Bridges Engineer, to provide technical input and direction in the design, rehabilitation and management of transport infrastructure – particularly for bridge and other road and rail related structures.

The primary responsibilities of the role are

Lead small teams of engineers to deliver detailed design
Develop, design and facilitate the documentation of structural engineering solutions in response to a client’s brief to an industry standard.
Maintain competency in the field of structural engineering and stay up-to-date with contemporary practice and trends in the industry.
This role requires you to maintain strong ties with other offices to facilitate work sharing.
Practice ethically and professionally.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Bachelor level degree
Chartered Professional Engineer
Understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance
Previous technical experience in discipline(s) relevant to design, including civil and bridges structures design.
Excellent communications skills
Negotiation skills
Mentoring and coaching design team members
Confidence (able to challenge when required and appropriate)
Desire to achieve high quality outputs and deliver excellent service
