A respected mid-tier civil contractor, our client has helped peoples' careers flourish within the construction sector while focusing its core activity of delivering civil infrastructure for the transport and mining sectors.

Having established a reputation for quality and reliability through successful project delivery, the company has enjoyed a period of sustained growth, with long-term client relationships in multiple sectors.

The Role

Zenith have been engaged to source an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to take the lead commercial role for a project recently awarded, circa $50m project value.

This is a permanent position. This is a long-term project over 12 months, working on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

You will ensure the scope is met, variations are captured, and claims administered effectively.

You will display a proven track record working in a Senior Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor role within the civil contracting industry in Australia.

The Requirements

You will have extensive experience working with contractors delivering civil infrastructure construction projects over $50m project value in the Pilbara.

The ideal candidate will display the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
  • Significant experience in commercial and contract management roles within civil construction sector
  • Exposure to civil infrastructure projects of at least $30m project value (preferably larger) in the Pilbara
  • Ability to effectively manage claims, variations, and contractual correspondence
  • Ability to prepare BOQ rates and variation rates
  • Strong commercial reporting and forecasting skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
