About the Role

NPI and its Engineering function based in Perth provide support for a wide portfolio that require specialist civil and structural engineering expertise. Reporting to the Lead Water Engineer, NPI Engineering Governance & Technical Stewardship, the Structural Engineer plays a key role in a multidisciplinary team supporting operations, maintenance and project delivery.

In this role you will:

  • Provide technical support for a variety of assets and locations
  • Have an understanding of key legal and regulatory risks
  • Maintain and provide expertise for asset integrity management systems
  • Continuously improve standards, creating new standards when required and ensure implementation across the business
About You

As part of the NPI Engineering Team within BHP Iron Ore, the following attributes will be key to your success:
  • Tertiary and/or Post Graduate qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • A proven track record of safety leadership
  • Experience with asset integrity systems
  • Experience with civil and structural design in concrete and steel
  • Demonstrated capabilities in effectively engaging with various levels and across Operations and Functions
  • Basic competency of SAP or other computer-based planning systems is desirable
Location

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
