Precast Estimator - Permanent Job - Melbourne's South East


Your new company
You will be working for an established organisation who have been in the industry for over 20 + years’ in the Pre Cast industry. They are a Melbourne based organisation with several locations across the state and offer an excellent facility with experienced staff. As they are working with high profile Tier 1 & 2 builders they have a strong pipeline of work over the next 12 months.

Your new role
As an estimator you will be engaging with prospective customers to establish their needs and requirements by gathering all relevant information and documentation to prepare customer quotations. Duties include:

  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, design plans, specifications and any other relevant documentation and negotiate cost estimates, budgets and work timetables
  • Calculate costs and prepare quotations accordingly and in acceptable time frames
  • Select the appropriate manufacturing & construction methods and strategies in collaboration with all relevant project stakeholders
  • Proactively communicate with customers on work status or progression and provide feedback or updates where required in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with and proactively communicate with Sales & Projects Manage


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a relevant trade background from either the precast or a similar industry and you will have extensive experience of Estimation in the pre-cast or structures industry. Ideally you will also have:
  • Experience as an Estimator in the shop fit industry
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building
  • General understanding of industry rates for external trades
  • Must be organised and strong planning skills
  • Must hold a driving licence
  • Must be able to provide 2 valid references
