The Department of Transport brings together all transport modes to design, plan, build and operate Victoria's transport system. Project Development Engineer Officer [ 2 Positions Available]

  • Annual Salary Range: VPS3 - $70,791 - $85,956 + Super
  • Tenure: Fixed Term until [29 April 2022] and [23 Jan 2024
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexible work arrangements may be available)
  • Location: Burwood East (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the development of a range of infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits. The role provides an opportunity to liaise with various stakeholders to ensure an appropriate scope of works is developed. This role is highly technical, requires strong project management skills and is expected to bring out the best of the successful candidates engineering skills

About You

  • Demonstrates professional judgement in the application of the requirements of the DoT Scope, Cost and Time Control Guidelines in the management of moderately complex project proposals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prepare, distribute and present relevant professional/technical information at the appropriate time.
  • Apply the requirements of DoT Risk Management Guidelines and independently prepare risk assessments for moderately complex project proposals.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, peers and professional teams.
  • Successfully persuade others to achieve appropriate outcomes for all parties in relation to project proposals.
  • Contribute effectively to team meetings, discussion and activities.
