As part of Board area Customer Success, the Intelligent Delivery Group unit is implementing end-to-end solutions with our customers by translating their aspirations into business solutions. We strengthen the relationship with our customers and strive for long-term engagements.

The Public Sector team in our Global Consulting Delivery organisation at SAP is dedicated to providing leading edge and breakthrough software solutions for high value, strategic customers. To achieve this, we collaborate closely with customers in public sector, industry and partners. Specifically for this role we will require a Solution Architect to support our SAP Public Finance solution implementations. The Solution Architect will be required to have significant skills and experience, an example of those attributes have been detailed below:

Skills:

  • Ability to understand and translate large scale business requirements and operating models into high-level value- oriented solutions.
  • Well-developed SAP solution capability and knowledge. Overall understanding of the SAP solution landscape, architecture and components.
  • SAP Public Finance industry solution knowledge is required.
  • SAP solution knowledge is important in one or more of the following core functionality areas: PSCD, FICA, FM and TRM
  • Knowledge of BRF+ is a plus.
  • Application specific solution consulting and implementation experience for above SAP’s solution for Public Sector
  • An understanding of S/4 HANA foundational concepts and finance application knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate high performance enterprise architecture team.
  • Ability to leverage SAP’s IT Enterprise Architecture Framework most effectively and efficiently in the context of the designed solution and transformation roadmap.

Experience:

  • +15 years of experience in the SAP field supporting architecture for complex environments and/ or large organisations.
  • Multi-year, complex, business transformation programs experience.
  • Recognised externally as subject matter expert.
  • Broad experience with developing overarching enterprise architecture roadmaps and decision proposals.
  • Broad experience driving enterprise architecture, principles, policies, governance, compliance, and standards across multiple domains.

Being part of the Global Consulting Delivery team for Public Finance, you will work closely with local projects and provide advice and support as your main daily activity. Your tasks will include planning and implementing SAP solutions, creating presentations, project tracking, key stakeholder alignment, and preparation and execution of customer workshops.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Very close collaboration with customers and internal experts and supporting top customer accounts
  • Planning, execution and tracking of key strategic projects in public sector
  • In depth analysis of technical issues / preparation of business issues or decision documents
  • Driving and ideation of Public Finance implementation projects in collaboration with respective areas
  • Provide liaison between the stakeholders, and employees
  • Swift implementation of ad-hoc activities
  • Execution of cross-unit activities and special tasks as well as cooperation with other areas
  • Strong problem solving skills: good business judgment and a healthy dose of practical sense

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • SAP Solution knowledge in one of the application the areas of CRM or PSCD is required. BRF+ understanding or experience would be advantageous.
  • SAP Public Finance knowledge industry knowledge is preferred.
  • We look for professionals with excellent analytical skills, strong knowledge of Public Finance business processes, experience in creating business cases and analyses, and a proven record of excellent performance. In addition to that, as a senior advisor and architect you should have the following qualifications:
    • A university degree in computer science, engineering or related field
    • Strong technical understanding of software development and architecture
    • Experience in understanding technical systems / architectures and performing in-depth analyses
    • Desire to work in a highly technical environment and strong ability to work and communicate with people from different fields
    • Highest level of flexibility, integrity and confidentiality
    • High ambition, drive for and focus on results and execution
    • Ability to multi-task and deliver highest quality work under time constraints and in complex environment
    • Excellent communication and networking skills
    • Project / product management skills
    • Strong team player with the mind-set to work in a high-impact team
    • Ability to work with colleagues on all levels of the organization and from various locations
    • Fluency in oral and written English
    • Experience with public sector / Social Protection customers
    • Ability to acquire a security clearance is a must for this role, therefor only those with an Australian Citizenship will be considered.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years professional work experience, preferable in consulting
  • Extensive experience with customer contacts
  • Process design and implementation know-how a clear plus
  • Comprehensive project / product management expertise
  • Broad understanding of SAP’s strategy
