The Role

Our esteemed client requires an experienced Planner to work on a Renewable Energy Project (QLD Based). This position is responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning and scheduling of activities.

A few key activities (responsibilities) include, but are not limited to:

  • Continuous tracking of the project and can prepare required reports as per contract
  • Understand WBS structure, and work with management and project/ maintenance team in the development of work break down structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimating and project control
  • Prepare and manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdown structure using scheduling software
  • Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress
  • Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which required action of the associate task member

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Renewable Energy, preferable Solar/ EPC
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Certificate in Project Management Professional
  • Fully conversant with planning software - Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Package (Specifically MS Excel)
  • Experience in planning, scheduling both engineering and construction activities is required
  • Problem solving skills to effectively address and resolve matters.
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills and have a thorough of industry practices and regulations
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage time and workload
  • Robust understanding of relevant legislation
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply contracts
  • Effective interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
