Position: Full-time Production Engineer

The Company:

Sublime Sheetmetal Pty Ltd is a company that offers manufacture and installation solutions to its customers on their ductwork of air-handling system’s needs. Due to continual growth, our company is seeking a reliable, highly motivated full-time Production Engineer to add to our team.

With the increase of the business, we are looking for a Production Engineer, reliable, hardworking, trustful person that wants to use his/her skills to work for our company located at Smithfield.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively managing the design, estimation, scoping, installing and commissioning of capital based projects within budget, on time and in full.
  • Managing project teams and providing subject matter expertise across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
  • Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
  • Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize the carbon footprint.
  • Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
  • Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.
  • Leading the site continuous improvement program, to deliver year on year improvements in safety, efficiency and quality.
  • Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Obtaining any materials and equipment required.

Required Skills:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering; and
  • Minimum 3 years work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Technically competent and proficient with various software programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint etc.
  • Keen to learn and open to feedback and development opportunities. 
  •  Strong attention to detail with skills in customer service and communication

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Super
