The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides exceptional service and support to partner with schools and enable the achievement of their vision and purpose. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a WHS & RTW professional to join our team.

This is an ideal opportunity for an Allied Health professional with a background and experience in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology and/or Physiotherapy.

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the WHS & RTW Manager, you will join the WHS & RTW team. As an integral member of the WHS & RTW team, you will accountable for:

  • Developing, monitoring and reviewing WHS procedures, practices and processes


  • Assisting in the effective RTW process including rehabilitation, workers compensation and injury management services


  • Supporting best practice in WHS


  • Monitoring and reporting on claim costs, injury rates and return to work rates and providing relevant reports to various stakeholders


  • Providing written and verbal WHS and RTW advice to various stakeholders

As part of the WHS & RTW team, you can also expect to be involved in exciting initiatives supporting schools with WHS processes such as requesting gymnasiums onsite, implementing initiatives relating to noise and the changes to legislation and reviewing return to work functions and processes to better support our injured employees.

What you will bring:

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with:

  • At least 1 year experience as a Rehabilitation Provider (desirable but not essential)

  • Clinical experience in relevant field (desirable but not essential)

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field and willingness to continue studies (ie. Certificate IV in WHS, & RTW Coordinator course)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on customer service and negotiation skills
