About the role…

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Engineer – HVAC with a sound technical knowledge and strong industry reputation and network to join our team to drive commercial sales in the NSW market. Reporting to the General Manager- Commercial Sales, this role will support, develop and establish new business opportunities through various networks to meet sales targets. Being one step ahead of competitor activity is paramount in a very competitive HVAC environment. Maintaining and developing strong client relationships with an existing and growing customer network specifically with consulting engineers and HVAC contractors to ensure profitable growth. This is a pivotal role and great opportunity for an experienced, well connected HVAC specialist to make a significant impact in the NSW market.

About the person…

The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified mechanical engineer or from a related field and a high performing business developer with proven experience in the HVAC industry. Your strengths include relationship management, planning and negotiating with the ability to set the strategic direction and develop business plans to support growth. You will be required to actively promote Seeley International’s brand and consult and interact with our customer base and internal stakeholders. Experience with HVAC calculations and psychrometrics is preferred. If you have a strong business network, you understand the ‘drivers’ within the HVAC sector and you have a history of successfully developing new business opportunities, this could be the opportunity you have been searching for!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service current accounts/ customer and create new ones to meet sales targets and budgets through effective technical presentations and utilization of engineering resources
  • Maintain close contact with customers and potential customers to ensure company’s products continue to meet customers’ requirements and gather market information regarding future requirements
  • Coordinate presentations, highlighting company products and service capabilities in a planned strategy to develop profitable business.
  • Perform applications engineering calculations and provide performance reports to demonstrate a compelling business case to customers
  • Identify new business initiatives and develop sales strategies
  • Identify and investigate product development and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure promotion plans are in place to maximise growth
  • Support Seeley International at Trade Shows, Exhibitions and product launches
  • Identify cost effective opportunities for advertising & promotion in the marketplace
  • Produce accurate monthly reports
  • Collect customer feedback and conduct market research
