About the roleReporting to the Analysis & Improvement Superintendent, your main responsibility will be to manage the condition of plant assets, utilising analytical methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes. You will be a significant contributor to the development, implementation and sustainability of the required improvement plans to address low plant availability and unplanned breakdowns.

The key responsibilities for this role:

Develops/refines asset management strategies for existing and new production equipment to ensure operability, maintainability and reliability requirements are met
Acquires and analyses operational downtime, rate loss, yield loss and cost data and develops and executes continuous improvement initiatives to achieve change on plant
Develops, reviews and audits engineering and maintenance standards and plans and coordinates the management of change with execution teams
Provides short, and long-term, technical support to maintenance and operations personnel
Prepares Scopes of work, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems, make recommendations for improvements and execute changes on plant
Provides reliability engineering support to the development of life cycle management planning, including FMECA, RCM, RAM, etc.

About your experienceYou are a results focused individual who is skilled at working in high pressure environments. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and supervisors.

Your experience includes:

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated experience in mining, mineral processing, or manufacturing businesses
Competency in structured data analysis and logical investigation methods
Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
Demonstrated experience with producing budgets and financial reporting
