To support our success, we are seeking a Mechatronic Engineer to join our Strategy & Growth team in Brisbane.

What will the role involve?

  • Undertake research and development activities and projects to support the creation and deployment of new technologies within the Sedgman group. 
  • Manage projects and mentor junior Engineers and continue to grow Mechatronics capability within Sedgman. 
  • Evaluate and prioritise sustainable solutions that add value to Client operations and Sedgman plants in the area of sensors and other digital technologies. 
  • Work with engineering teams to develop standards and specifications for new technology and assist integration within plant designs.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics or Electrical)
  • Ability to interpret technical data sheet, electrical drawings & engineering documents (PID’s, SLD’s, Schematics)
  • Electrical & Control System troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
  • Experience in coding: C and Python, PCB design and associated tools and 3D modelling (Autodesk inventor)
  • Ability to work safely and effectively unsupervised
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
