About the roles
Expressions of interest are sought from qualified and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers from the Mechanical, Avionics & Structural trade groups to join our RAAF AP-3C Orion Aircraft Sustainment teams at RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia.
A number of fixed term opportunites are are anticipated in the coming months. Some of your day to day activities in the position would include:

* Undertaking aircraft maintenance activities such as carrying out inspections, repairs, refurbishment and modification
* Working within your competency and authorisation to contribute to the achievement of aircraft maintenance targets,
* Working towards other maintenance projects undertaken by Airbus within the facility.

About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

* Previous experience working on P3 Orion
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics. Mechanical or Structural)
* For certifying roles, be eligible to obtain a Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) B1, B2 or C Military Aircraft Maintenance License.
* Ability to demonstrate experience in a similar role, within a heavy maintenance, workshop, hangar or Line Maintenance environment
* Ability to breakdown problems, assess and interpret options and develop solutions
* Have a demonstrated commitment to safety
