Sport Australia plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sport agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and fast paced team. Our ideal candidate will provide support to deliver on WHS programs and assist in injury management activities across our organisation. They will have demonstrated experience in work health and safety. Injury case management experience is preferred but not essential. They must be proactive, have sound judgement, exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills. The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work with a high level of attention to detail in a faced paced and changing environment. They will also provide HR administration support to the broader People and Culture Branch during peak times or staff leave.

Whilst this current vacancy is for the term of 12 months, please note that an order of merit may be used to fill other opportunities, including longer term contracts or ongoing vacancies , should the opportunity arise within 12 months from the role being advertised.

Position is based in Canberra and will be available for a 12 month fixed term placement (possible ongoing)

Salary range = $76,852 - $88,759 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.

Please note the ASC operates under The Australian Sports Commission Act 1989 and is separate to the Australian Public Service terms and conditions of employment. If you have any questions regarding movements from the APS to the ASC please call People & Culture.
