A single point of contact for all technical matters within ANZ. This department is responsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management of the wind farms built by Vestas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across all disciplines across the entire wind farm scope and take ownership in developing innovative and bid proposals. as a Technical Bid Specialist will be to ensure timely and correct responses to customer inquiries, prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders, and supervise technical negotiations together with the Sales Manager.

  • Ensure bid requirements are understood and that the proposal complies with requirements while maximizing value to the customer and Vestas. Understand customer drivers to make the right proposals.
  • Effectively move the technical value engineering of customer projects and supervise technical negotiations as a member of the Sales team
  • Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders, as well as technical and contract schedules
  • You are expected to take full responsibility for the technical solution during the Sales phase
  • Engage with local industry stakeholders on technical matters to ensure that Vestas products are best placed to support the market
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is Essential
  • Degree in Business or Commerce would be well regarded
  • Must have experience in contract negotiations and deal closure, ideally of heavy machinery, power plant equipment, or similar
  • 3+ years experience in a Technical Sales Support and Project Engineering role
  • Experience in the electricity generation sector
  • Experience in working together with overseas stakeholders
  • Experience in the wind industry would be well regarded.
