The Position

As a Senior Civil Estimator you will be tasked with -
  • Ensuring submissions for expressions of interest, budgets and tenders comply with client requirements.
  • Preparing estimates for a diverse range of tenders within the civil fields but predominately within Council works (Roads, Pavements, Asphalt, Kerbs) and RMS Civil Works.
  • Assisting in the operational review of scope of work and preparing operational input data.
  • Analysing job/project production/profitability, unit costs and monitoring necessary changes to increase success rate.
  • Mentoring members of the team and assisting them in their quality of work and overall professional development.
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil engineering or similar
  • Considerable experience in an estimating capacity, preparing lump sum tenders and cost plans within the civil industry.
  • Proven knowledge of estimating including identifying cost options and preparing tenders and proposals.
  • Bid Management experience with the ability to prepare tenders for market including full compliance of tender documentation with client requirements.
  • Proven estimating, project controls and contractual management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy of work
