We are looking for an Experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer who is dynamic and organised with outstanding technical engineering skills to join our professional team.

This is a full time role primarily based in Perth, Western Australia. Candidates must be willing to travel.

Duties

The successful candidate will be highly capable and be able to perform the following duties which include but are not limited to

  • Planning, Scheduling and Coordinating teams performing Commissioning, Testing, Maintenance and repairs to the following High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment:
    • High/Medium/Low Voltage Circuit Breakers (Oil, Vacuum, Gas)
    • Power Transformers
    • High/Medium/Low Voltage Switchboards
    • High Voltage Transmission and Distribution equipment
    • Outdoor Substation equipment (CT’, VT’s, Disconnectors, CB’s, etc.)
    • Power Generators and Motors
    • Protection relays
    • High/Medium Voltage Cables
    • Substation Earth Systems
    • Battery systems
  • Site visits as a member of a team to perform the above testing, maintenance and commissioning activities
  • Complete reports on work carried out and findings within agreed time frames.
  • Maintain and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop technical presentations and deliver to key stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop commissioning plans, technical procedures, method statements and other documentation for projects and clients.
  • Perform technical risk assessments and engineering life assessments

The right candidate will have the following;
  • Extensive previous experience in the commissioning, testing and maintenance of High Voltage Equipment is essential
  • A high level understanding of relevant international and Australian standards
  • Experience in utilising the following test equipment:
    • Doble M4100
    • Omicron CT Analyser
    • Doble F6150
    • Adwel ELCID
    • Doble 5200
  • A strong commitment to OHSE in the workplace
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • A Direct knowledge of High Voltage operating principles, policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage, review and understand the financial impacts of operational decisions
  • Min. Electrical Engineering Bachelor degree
  • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn
  • Aptitude to work in a diverse team
