Responsibilities

  • Customer engagement
    • Engage directly with customers in the role of a Solution Architect to guide them on their Digital Transformation journey and strategy that includes Cloud, Network and Enterprise infrastructure architectures
  • Capability Strategy
    • Assists in developing the Global Solution Architect brand in a local market by adapting, supporting and executing the local GSA strategy
    • Plays an executive role in key sales initiatives
    • Where possible, ensures consistency with global practices, where necessary adapted for local conditions
    • Ensures knowledge is shared regionally and globally and facilitates interaction between teams
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Maintains alignment with key internal stakeholders of the GSA team through engagement and alignment with Director and Senior Directors on goals and principles
    • Maintains Peer Customer Relationships
    • Maintains local stakeholder relationships
    • Represents the GSA team to local senior leadership
  • Employee Management & Team Health
    • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members and others to ensure objectives are met;
    • Maintains personal development plans are in place for each team member and progress is being tracked.
    • Provides constructive feedback through 1:1 or Quarterly Conversations
    • Creates and delegates thoughtful employee assignments and developmental opportunities
    • Applies discipline and standards of behavior in line with the Magic of Equinix
    • Participate in Performance Review Process
    • Carries out hiring, screening, selection and onboarding
    • Builds a high-performance team
    • Mentors team members
  • Reporting
    • Ensures team activity and results are accurately represented in appropriate systems in a timely manner
  • Target / Goal Setting
    • Establish and manage quarterly Management by Objective (MBO) goals associated with the team;
    • Track progress and delivery on MBO goals
    • Tracks engagements for Requests on Resource
    • Monitors team progress against agreed Key Performance Metrics
  • Financial Budget management
    • Tracks budget allocation and spend
       
  • Support of Key Company Initiatives
    • Responsible for new product introduction support models in sub segment
    • Responsible for new market introduction support models in sub segment
    • Responsible for new partner support models in sub segment
    • Responsible for new service introduction support models in sub segment
    • Supervision of technical progress of Named Accounts
       
  • Travel 15% of time both domestically or internationally as applicable

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ Years in the functional domains of Network, Datacentre, Enterprise IT Systems, including Enterprise Architecture and large scale / high complexity Technical Architecture implementation preferred
  • 10+ Years of Solutions Selling in a commercial pre-sales position preferred
  • 3+ Years of Management experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline preferred
  • Advanced industry certifications (i.e. Cisco, VMware, MS, AWS), TOGAF (v9 Part 1 and Part 2), ITIL 3.0, or CCIE-Written certification preferred
