The opportunity:


Reporting to the Director - Structures & Civil Infrastructure (ANZ); the Senior Consultant will be part of a multi-disciplined team playing an active role in the successful delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects. This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your civil engineering expertise in a collaborative environment.


The role:

  • Focus on the delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects for the Structures & Civil Infrastructure business of SYSTRA.
  • Act as the Coordination Lead on tunnel projects under the guidance of Senior Management.
  • Be autonomous and demonstrate proactive behavior to solve problems.
  • Coordinate effectively multidisciplinary design or review teams in a multi-site production environment.
  • Demonstrate capabilities to prepare and execute project plans for a portfolio of projects/work packages.
  • Assess project documents, communicating and managing risks, acting promptly to minimise their impact.
  • Use project management methodologies to improve delivery and maintain profit margins.
  • Effectively manage workshop planning & facilitation using your skills to engage stakeholders and achieve outcomes.
  • Be considered as skilled in more than one specialist areas and able to develop new tools & techniques.


Experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree qualified in engineering or a related discipline with chartered status or the ability to obtain chartered status (or equivalent professional status from a relevant institution - e.g. CPEng, RPEQ, NER etc).
  • 10+ years' engineering experience, including tunnel & civil engineering as a primary capability and project management as a secondary capability.
  • A strong level of technical knowledge of tunnel & civil during both design and construction stage.
  • The ability to write project plans and reports and provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders.
  • Solid experience of multidisciplinary coordination and project management.
  • Proven abilities to build sound working relationships across diverse groups internally and externally.
