JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Site Engineer you will report to the Minor Works Victorian Manager, this role will see you assisting with the planning, execution and closing of a project.

Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing safety and construction documentation
  • Track and forecast against construction budget
  • Obtain permits to work (e.g. Services Permit, Working Platform Permit, other external Permits to Work);
  • Prepare a staging program that clearly spells out how the works will be constructed, complete with a related construction program;
  • Undertake internal audits and maintain all site registers;
  • Technical and logistic support to the Project Lead or Manager;
  • Preparation of ITP's, ITCP’s;
  • Review drawings and scope requirements, raise RFI’s as required and maintain the RFI register;
  • Measure up, consult with the Supervisor, order materials and manage laydown areas including proper placement of materials;
  • inspect materials upon arrival and periodically during the works. Maintain dockets and perform progressive as-built reporting;


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Civil Engineering degree (or similar)
  • 2-3 years of experience as a project-based engineer in the construction engineering industry, in disciplines such as rail and associated civil infrastructure
  • Construction Induction Training (CIT/’White Card’), formerly a ‘Red Card’), obtained via face-to-face training, not online
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and implementing project delivery (including resourcing of plant, equipment and labour) and managing subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Experience in consultation with stakeholders and local communities;
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
  • Current Driver Licence
