Seeking an Electronics Maintenance Assurance Officer/Electronics Engineering Technician based at Henderson to be part of the Operations team to manage the assurance for marine vessel maintenance activities in the Remote Maintenance Centres.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee seaworthiness maintenance - ensuring compliance with the approved maintenance management system and ensuring that maintenance activities are correctly conducted, certified and recorded.
  • Manage key activity and status reports as required.
  • Ensure maintenance errors are effectively investigated and reported.
  • Ensure personnel are authorised to perform the required maintenance activities.
  • Support the Commonwealth in engaging, planning, managing and controlling the Enterprise Operations through Enterprise partners across capability management, asset management and maintenance delivery.
  • Liaison with the Engineering Officer to coordinate inputs into the Seaworthiness assurance program; and
  • Assist to establish process and business-to-business rules to ensure activities are planned, conducted, reported, and completion data provided to meet sustainment requirements within the Asset Management program.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experienced at advising on policy implementation.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex daily operational problems in a seaworthiness context.
  • Experience contributing to operational plans.
  • A minimum Cert IV qualification in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience in the electronics industry in either RAN, manufacture, maintenance or testing.
  • A NV1 Security Clearance (Baseline may be acceptable)
