Project Manage the Management of Structures with Concrete Halving Joints project including state-wide inspections, management of external contractors and providing subsequent technical advice to internal and external stakeholders to enhance the department's understanding and capability to optimise the life of structures with concrete halving joints.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of contemporary best practice for asset management through to determine options and applicability to the department’s needs and context.
  • Provide engineering and professional consulting services on the operation of structural assets including the execution of structural investigations (comprising assessment, inspection, analysis and reporting), and development of bridge Structure Management Plans.
  • Strategically analyse the structure network inventory, condition, maintenance, and performance data extracted from relevant databases, to influence investment prioritisation for structure asset management.
  • Monitor and report on the bridge and culvert asset management program’s overall performance including network outcomes, budget requirements, forecast, risks/issues, program deliverables and achievements and provide advice, options and recommendations on asset management strategy, program risks and issues, and initiate corrective action as directed.
  • Undertake structural inspections in accordance with the relevant legislation, safety and engineering considerations as implemented by the Structures Inspection Manual, compile the results and provide expert structural advice on the outcomes, determine network-based restrictions and review Structural Management Plans.
