The role:

As an Engineering Manager in our Customer Acquisition team, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers to deliver the roadmap for this squad. You'll get to lead a passionate team that delivers quickly and loves to write quality, reusable code.


What you'll do:

  • Develop, grow and support the engineering squad
  • Promote a high-performance culture
  • Drive delivery and outcomes 
  • Coach engineering best-practices 
  • Perform architectural design and help your team solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with the product manager and designer in a triad to discover and validate problems
  • Ensure solutions can balance between long term ambitions and near term goals
  • Manage continuing support and provide system metrics for client facing products.


To help us level up, you'll have

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager and leading a high performing team
  • Experience in hiring software engineers and build a team
  • Experience in Event-driven architecture and Kafka are a must - have
  • Hands on experience and background in .NET Core is a must have
  • This role has high visibility across Zip business and need someone who understands operational maturity, performance metrics, incident management and prioritization.
  • Our Customer Acquisition team uses loads of new technologies such as: Tarraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, .NET core 5, gRPC, docker, etc, so it will be good to have some exposure with these
