As the Project Accountant you will be responsible for the accounting of construction projects within the business. Analyse progress, report issues and make suggestions working closely with the finance and operation teams.

This project accounting role is a new role within the company and an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of some incredible projects across Sydney.


  • Liaise with Project Managers to evaluate project performance, manage time-lines and billing schedules.
  • Calculate the monthly revenue earned on projects based on costs incurred as a percentage of the forecasts. Provide analysis and suggestions for revenue adjustments.
  • Attend project meetings and take charge in monthly project reviews
  • Forecast and review regularly to ensure expected booking dates and probabilities are accurate.
  • Request and assist PM in entering physical percent complete to monitor project progress.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and follow up outstanding Debtors.
  • Close-out projects in line with close-out procedures once Projects finalised.
  • Ensure time-sheets are submitted and approved for Cost Centre according to deadlines.
  • Process time-sheet adjustments where errors in approved deadlines have been identified.
  • Oversee the AP process for your projects and assist as required.
  • Provide project information to the corporate Accountant to assist during audit process.


  • 2+ years of project accounting experience within a similar industry
  • Experience with Pronto (Oracle) or other similar ERP's
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and exceptional time-management skills
