Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are searching for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join our team ideally based in Canberra but we can consider a Sydney base for exceptional candidates. You will be experienced in Designing and promoting software-defined solution through orchestration platforms (Versa, Velacloud, etc).

Due to the client-facing nature of this position, candidates will be required to hold NV1 clearance at the time of applying.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Participating in design and execution of innovation projects which explore novel approaches to system integration with existing networking technologies.
  • Creating repeatable processes and artifacts that will be used at scale and practice wide for developing and evolving SDWAN, SDLAN, and SDN technologies.
  • Traveling to clients all over the world to design, sell, and deploy larger network-based solutions.
  • Understanding best practices for physical infrastructure installation and be able to incorporate into designs and supervision of project delivery activities.
  • Working with Product Marketing team and customers to converge on product requirements.
  • Working with Engineering teams to define detailed Engineering requirements and system-level design, as well as providing architectural expertise and guidance.
  • Interfacing with customers on all technical matters of lab trials, testing and deployments.
  • Engaging with customers on explaining technical details of our products and propose solutions for customer specific requirements.
  • Working with cross functional teams (wireless/5g, cloud, software, compute) and develop technical activities for customer trials and deployments.
  • Proposing new, creative solutions for tough, system-wide problems.
  • Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, and Professional Services)
  • Collect business and technical requirements
  • Complete end-to-end, full lifecycle network designs.
  • Driving whiteboard conversations internally and with clients.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Write statements of work and bill of materials to develop a professional service solution.
What skills and experience do I need to apply?
  • 15 years of experience in the network industry relating to enterprise scale routing and switching, Data Centre, and security technologies.
  • Strong experience in designing, configuring, and deploying customer-based solutions for a diversity of topologies.
  • Cisco, Juniper, VMWare, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cloud skills (highly desirable).
  • 5 Years or more of direct interaction and working with network engineers and architects on developing and deploying customer-based solutions for the enterprise.
  • Knowledge of wireless and experience integrating it at scale for the enterprise and a diversity of clients.
  • Experience with network orchestration and software defined networking (Must have).
  • Professional level or expert level industry relevant certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, VCE, PCSNE)
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a related discipline
  • CCNP (CCIE Preferred RS, DC, or enterprise)
  • Software Orchestration and SDN skillset (must have)
  • Ability to design/deploy/document hardware based SDN solutions (Cisco ACI, VMWARE NSX-T, etc)

  • Experience in designing and developing large-scale systems a plus.
  • Experience in analysing and responding to market requirements, RFIs, etc.
  • Experience with system level testing and performance evaluation of wireless systems and familiarity with related tools.
