About The Opportunity

BMT’s Coastal team in Melbourne has had a string of exciting, diverse and local project wins in the last few months and with further prospects of interesting coastal and marine projects on the horizon, we are looking for motivated coastal engineers and/or scientists with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our team in Melbourne to contribute technically and in the management of projects commensurate with level of experience.

To be successful, applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
  • Completed a bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering, environmental science, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience to include at least two of the following areas: coastal modelling, coastal adaptation planning, port and harbour design, design of coastal protection works and/or environmental assessment and approvals of coastal projects.
  • Demonstrated skills and/or interest in either coastal process analysis and modelling, coastal structure design, or GIS mapping and analysis in the coastal environment, attained through work experience or education will be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen interest in leading edge technology and innovative approaches to coastal problems.
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia on a full-time basis.
