About the role

The Senior Property Officer sits within the Property Service Centre, Trustee Services division and reports to the Principal Property Officer. 
The role is part of a team that is collectively responsible for delivering high quality, consistent and timely property services that are consistent with NSWTG’s Customer Excellence Principles. This role independently handles more complex construction, modification, major renovations and/or repairs and maintenance of client residences (including the management of external consultants), and provides guidance and support to Client Service Officers.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in building, complex construction or project management and capacity to interpret and provide advice on building plans and specifications. 
  • Capacity to manage external service providers in the construction, renovation and repairs of properties to meet the needs of clients, having regard to their disabilities. 
  • Understanding of NSW government and NSWTG’s key services and client base.
  • All roles in NSWTG require a willingness to have phone calls monitored for quality and training purposes.

About you
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated ability to develop positive and effective working relationships, manage interdependencies and balance competing demands from various stakeholders across the business
  • A strong understanding of Australian building standards
  • A NSW builders licence is preferred.
