The Role

A unique opportunity currently exists in Northrop's Canberra office for an experienced Civil Designer / Draftsperson in our Civil Section. You will be assisting a busy team with design/ drafting capabilities along with the growth and performance of the section.

This position presents an opportunity for career growth and increased responsibility where you will play a key role in delivering various urban infrastructure and development projects - using skills in engineering planning; investigation and assessment; design and construction management.

Our team is creative and delivers various types of technically challenging projects.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who wants to take control of their career and provide pathways for their team to operate successfully and achieve their career goals.

In order to be successful in this role, you will also need to possess:

Upwards of 5 years of proven experience in a similar environment;
Relevant tertiary qualifications;
Well-rounded experience;
Be a self-starter and ability work autonomously;
Ability to manage pressure situations and multiple deadlines;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
The ability to find common ground and gain personal and professional trust;
Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles;
The ability to work collaboratively across functional groups.

The following technical experience will be highly regarded:
3D Design, Civil 3D or 12D;
