Due to increased volume of ongoing work, Sharpe Engineering is currently looking for an experienced labourer to join its manufacturing team. This hands-on role will report to the Workshop Manager. The Sharpe Engineering production team manufactures a wide range of customised components for the oil and gas industry. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual who is looking for a long term and rewarding role with a strong and stable company. 

Responsibilities include: 

· Complete all assigned tasks within the workshop in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with relevant codes, standards, specifications, drawings, guidelines and company procedures

· Work to instructions 

· Assist tradespersons in performing various tasks

· Work individually under general supervision

· Take responsibility for the quality of own work

· Organise packaging for transport

· Phosphate materials

· Lubrication of production machinery and similar equipment

· Operate all appropriate materials handling equipment

· Operate lifting equipment incidental to the work

· Ensure all materials including tools and equipment are available and on hand as required to complete given tasks / projects

· Organise and communicate information

· Work with others to complete complicated tasks on time

· Carry out cleaning duties as required

Applicants should possess the following skills and attributes:

· Experience working in the engineering industry would be highly advantageous

· High attention to detail and ability to work independently

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Understanding of quality, safety and environmental systems and principals

· Be physically fit and able to cope with labour intensive work

· Genuine team player and a willingness to help others when needed
