The Team:


As a leading omni-channel retailer Super Retail Group is pushing the boundaries of how technology supports our business and delivers for our customers. An essential part of that omni channel experience is the operation and evolution of our network needs as Retail changes. Working with our partners the Network and Voice Platform team will develop and deploy strong governance and management practices to assure the delivery of all network and voice services across the Super Retail Group landscape as we continue to invest. The team will ensure that all platforms are delivered to operating requirements while managing compliance with technical, regulatory and security standards. But most importantly the team will ensure that Super Retail Group remains at the forefront of the technology that supports our passion for our customer.


The Role:


The Network & Voice Architect will be responsible for architecture, designing, implementing, supporting, monitoring and managing the local and wide area network as well as voice solutions for Super Retail Group (SRG). As Network Architect you will be planning, designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of new networks and voice platforms, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. The key objective is to ensure both maximum uptime and quality for our internal and external customers. This role will work as part of the Network and Voice Platform team in ensuring the ongoing investment in our network infrastructure is optimised and our technology remains at the cutting edge.


The role will also involve:

  • Collaborating with Management and department leaders to assess near and long-term needs
  • Operating and assuming ownership of data and voice systems at optimal levels to meet business demand (WAN, LAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, WIFI, VOIP and PABX)
  • Providing all levels of support across our retail outlets, distribution centres, support offices, data centre and cloud to analyse and resolve network hardware and software problems
  • Securing perimeter controls and efficient network management
  • Managing the network and voice architecture
  • Diagnosing problems affecting systems and services & resolve within short timeframes to enable availability, continuity & integrity of services
  • Understanding and communicating the implications of new technologies and how they can be used for business improvement.


About You:


You will thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing retail environment. You will have demonstrated experience in the architecture, design, implementation and tuning of network infrastructure. You will have demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining networks (including SD-WAN) and PABX, VOIP and Cloud telephony solutions.

Experience in providing enterprise security, solutions design and delivery, migrations and infrastructure automation, alerts and monitoring across a wide range of platforms is required.


You will also bring:

  • Significant experience in a similar Architect role
  • Experience in large (150+ sited) geographically diverse networks and security practices
  • Strong experience in the following networking and voice platforms: Cisco, Meraki, AWS Cloud & Connect, Fuze, PABX, FortiGate, Palo Alto, ISE
  • Strong customer centricity and proactive approach
  • Cisco Qualifications – CCIE(preferred), CCNA, CCNP,Unified Communications
  • Firewall (FortiGate and Palo Alto) and ITIL Certifications
  • SolarWinds Network Monitoring and IP Management
  • Conferencing solutions (Teams, Webex, Creston)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain network detailed design and documentation
  • Experiencing supporting network and telephony across retail outlets, distribution centres, data centres and support offices
