About The Role

You will be responsible for proactively managing and advising on the safe delivery of our products to market, as well as working with groups within our Customer Markets and wider business to implement effective frameworks and respond to product safety and compliance issues.

In this newly created position, you will ensure that the business complies with its various product safety obligations, developing our product safety internal policies and processes, and playing a key role in remediation activity .

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advise on the safety risks associated with the development and distribution of new products, including guidance on the Product Safety Policies and Guidelines when implementing a new product
  • Contribute to our product safety framework to detect, prevent, and eliminate product safety issues
  • Act as the coordinator where product recalls and withdrawals of products from market may be required, including engaging with regulators and external advisors
  • Update internal policy and process documents relating to product safety and product recalls
  • Execute an ongoing internal education program and conduct workshops to ensure understanding of our product safety obligations
About You


You will have excellent communication skills, including a strong ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders at all levels.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a cross-team environment and achieve objectives across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Previous experience in a regulatory advisory, compliance or legal role within the energy sector or other regulated industry, ideally in a product safety, governance or product development role
  • Strong project management skills, including organizational skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks to a high quality
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Consumer Law (in particular, the product safety and consumer guarantee provisions), as well as experience with product recalls and withdrawals
