The Role

This is not your every day role. As a Software Architect with Hansen Technologies you will be challenged to draw upon your exceptional technical capability for the purpose of designing and implementing best practice solutions for some of our most valued customers globally.

With a demonstrable track record as a technical specialist in telco consulting working across BSS/OSS, Catalogue and CPQ you will be excited by the cutting edge work we are delivering to our customers who are some of the most recognised brands around the world.

How you will contribute 

Working with our CSD team in Melbourne and globally your role will see you undertaking the following:

  • Conducting product modelling workshops including the design and development of rationalised product models
  • Providing subject matter expertise on the operationalisation of business software solutions in the organisation
  • Designing, developing and deploying process and organisational models orientated around the rollout and use of our software solutions
  • Designing and producing functional specifications for all areas of implementation work
  • Developing training materials for the Training competency and deliver training courses where applicable
  • Ensuring that decisions taken comply with organisational methodology, strategic architecture and direction and that you actively contribute to the development of new product roadmap ideas
  • Actively defining Integration, migration, and deployment architectures
  • Designing, documenting and leading the delivery of all configuration, customization and integration designs
  • Guiding the client or systems integrator through test phases with experience of agile testing principles
  • Contributing to internal asset development through regularly contributing to the standard Delivery Methodology and implementation tools
  • Supporting and directing the integration of software with 3rd party systems through various possible mechanisms (e.g. P2P, web services, EAI/ESB/middleware)
  • Working in a customer-facing, time-driven (agile) project delivery environment potentially, sometimes with / through a 3rd party systems integrator

Our Ideal Person

You are dynamic individual who has solid track record of accomplishment. You have been able to create career success because of your ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, consistently deliver beyond expectation as well as demonstrate a level of commerciality and innovation which is underpinned by your abilities as both a technical and thought leader. From a technical perspective you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business, or comparable industry experience
  • Experience of BSS/OSS solutions specializing in Catalog, Configure Price Quote, Order Management and Provisioning ideally with an understanding of BSS/OSS needs of clients for Telco, Cable & Wireless operators.
  • Significant experience with software solutions in the telecommunications, cable, and/or high-tech sector and a proven ability in understanding complexities of working in a global function 
  • Proven experience working with external clients in a technical consulting role, driving requirements and workshops using a use case-oriented approach
  • Experience working with agile methods of project delivery, either in an agile environment or as part of an agile team
  • Ability to operate in fast moving team environment delivering to tight schedules in a demanding technical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence external clients to achieve successful results and communicate technical ideas
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and willing to get involved in the detail and be hands-on (be it in design or in technical configuration activities)
  • Pro-active self-starter who can take the initiative and operate independently, and is flexible in their approach and able to tolerate change and ambiguity and still able to achieve challenging goals and objectives or deadlines

From a technical knowledge perspective, you will be well versed in the following

  • Able to work with UML and other design languages
  • Familiarity with general TM Forum Framworx concepts
  • Understand the typical retail product lifecycle management process
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of a number of technology standards including:
  • CSP BSS & OSS systems
