About the company:
Our client provides customers across Australia and NZ with design and installation of Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) on a commercial level. They currently have a vacancy for a level 1-2 network and communications engineer for their growing office in Melbourne. The role will be to undertake customer site survey work, as well as office-based network design. You will work with the existing senior engineering team to deliver complex solutions for customers.


Your new role:
In this career defining role you will be working with new networking technologies, and you need to be able to adapt and learn quickly as these technologies evolve. There is a team of like-minded engineers that you will work within and learn from, but you must be able to attend site and operate independently.


About you:

  • You have technical knowledge and have a passion for network engineering
  • You may have worked as an internal networking engineer or for a 3rd party service provider. Either experience will be considered.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Are happy to work independently as well as integrate into a great team
  • You are willing to learn and study to further your career
  • You have a can-do attitude, be highly motivated and a fast learner
  • You maintain a high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective multitasking, prioritisation and logical problem-solving abilities.


Essential Criteria:

  • Current Cisco CCNA or Aruba ACMA level certification is ideal
  • Some experience in WLAN, LAN and Wi-Fi networks expected
  • High levels of accuracy in all that you do
  • Great customer facing skills / Well presented
  • Able to talk to people from all walks of life
  • Willingness to travel (must have own car and drivers licence)
  • You are physically fit to be able to undertake site work (low level ladder work including building sites).
