Exco Partners - Melbourne, VIC

JOB DESCRIPTION

Who are we?

We are a purpose built collective of capability partners focussed on the business challenges caused by digitalisation, namely the alignment of customer, employee, and business performance.

Our business leverages several start-up stories, varied engagement experiences and deep capability expertise. We have collectively been operating since 2006 and have completed 500+ client engagements across most industry segments in the Melbourne marketplace.

Who are you?

We are on the look-out for initiative. Put simply, people genuinely comfortable with ambiguity and change.

In deciding that you are right for our Architecture team, you should be able to:

Interact with people. At any level within our client’s (or our own) business. We support and encourage respectful, innovative engagement.

Demonstrate significant experience in integration platforms both from a building and designing perspective. We would expect that you have strong experience and understanding on platforms that are:

  • On-Premise
  • Cloud based platforms
  • Hybrid
  • API Gateways

Show breadth in your technology understanding being integration-focused. You would have exposure to problems and systems that our clients are encountering especially:

  • Systems such as ERP, CRM, Finance Systems, Banking and Customer-facing channels
  • Industries including Retail, Financial Services, Media and Supply Chain
  • Developing the strategy and design of APIs as well as overseeing the build outcomes (including QoS and security considerations)
  • Being comfortable with architecting across different implementation patterns and approaches
  • Understanding the importance of strong data design – including ER, Interface definitions and standards
  • Developing architectures aligned to pragmatic and practical delivery
  • Bringing together the above to articulate where the key decision points are to allow your projects to realise their potential.
  • Communicating with development teams from the devOps perspective and guiding the solution to the as-designed outcomes.

Develop solutions to a range of problems. We are engaged in a variety of scenarios that require creativity, innovation and confidence to propose different solutions to the identified problem(s).

Be a thought leader. You identify opportunities not just by doing the normal but by adding some perspectives and testing the boundaries of what is possible.

We are looking for people with experience in an agile project delivery environment. We don’t mind in which capacity, but an understanding of how change happens (and the associated challenges) is a fundamental experience you must have.

We are anticipating that you have at least 7 years’ experience architecting, designing, and estimating integration and solution architecture projects.

Additionally, though not required, this role, within the Data + Technology practice, has the additional potential to be aligned to the senior management layers if you have the commercial interest.
