 Reporting to the Engineering Manager this role offers a diversity of activities including product development and design, reverse engineering and continuous improvement. Essential Position Requirements:

To be considered for this role you will possess these key skills and experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with Solidworks and/or Creo and PLM software.
  • Ability to conduct and understand engineering calculations and analysis
  • Ability to understand and design equipment to Australian standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience using machinery and measuring equipment will be advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and engineering materials.
  • Knowledge in structural design and heavy machinery products.
  • Strong foundation of engineering basics and theoretical calculations and validations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of new product development and product maintenance process including relevant engineering release process.
  • Knowledge of mechanism design and analysis.
  • Exposure to manufacturing methods, tolerance and finish specifications.
  • Task and detailed focused, providing accuracy and high quality
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Professional verbal, written communication skills, demeanour and presentation
  • Drivers Licence.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design tasks and projects, conducting engineering calculations and producing models and technical drawings using Solidworks for components to be manufactured
  • Contributing to creating and updating production documents such as: safe operating procedures, training manuals and risk assessments
  • Working with key stakeholders to update and assess workshop quality control systems
  • Assist with product development, current and new.
  • Review current drawings, production programs and methodology including QC.
  • Reverse engineering of parts inclusive of manufacturing & service tolerances.
  • Create or revise metallurgical heat treatment programs in line with third party specialists.
  • Create or revise part and assembly designs for products currently not part of the ProReman’s work program.
  • Continually develop best practice work holding through Jig and Fixture Design.
  • Continual development and improvement of best practice machine process and machine process documentation.
  • Continual development and improvement of product service processes and documentation.
  • Other ad hoc engineering tasks as required
  • Comply with company policies and follow company values and business code of practice.
