Hycast is one of the few investment casting companies in Australia. We offer the full range of technical skills necessary to ensure precise investment castings from design through to utilization. We provide products and services to national and international clients all over the world. 

We are looking to expand our team to include a highly skilled and qualified Industrial Process/Production Engineer with a minimum of three years’ experience.

This position includes but not limited to:

  • Working on preparation and implementation of standard operating procedures.

  • Controlling the current manufacturing processes on the shop floor and overseeing any new process/production developments being implemented to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Planning and utilising improvements for both products and manufacturing processes. 

  • Developing product-specific processes and suggesting adequate material and equipment selections.

  • Inspecting and auditing facility staff and equipment to support integrated management systems.

  • Designing and monitoring the production processes of proto samples. 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field with specialist knowledge in Chemical Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering. Candidates holding or enrolled in a Master Degree or higher is preferable.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industrial production and manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year experience in investment casting business.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in lost-wax investment casting processes. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge in additive manufacturing technologies. Design experience in 3D printing of wax and plastic articles.

  • An ability of data-driven decision making. Previous experience in statistical process control tools and MS Excel. Experience in MS Access and SQL databases is a plus.

  • Solid knowledge in integrated management systems. Proven track record in internal and external audits, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 140001 & ISO/IEC 17025.

  • Full competency in handling 3D data and running solidification simulations. Hands-on experience in SolidWorks, SolidCAST and FlowCAST.

  • Strong communication skills when working with all stakeholders in the business.

  • Proven track record of involvement in teams to deliver national/international projects. 

  • A strong commitment to completing projects and good time management skills.

  • Full work rights in Australia.
