Civil Project Manager Land Development - Greenfield Subdivision

My client has a diverse range of contracts and specialises within Greenfield Subdivision in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Your new role

  • All aspects of the delivery of projects as dictated by Planning Permit Conditions and Authority agreements and conditions
  • Know and understand the project site, Client's requirements and the project scope
  • Assist and direct designer in the preparation of Engineering plans
  • Check design plans in accordance with Company quality process (KTP), checklists and design certification
  • Authorise amended designs / submit project to Authorities for approval
  • Identify services that are outside the agreed scope of works
  • Obtain Authority approvals and satisfy authority IMS and quality requirements
  • Maintain Project Management protocols and make recommendations to Operations
  • Conduct project site inspections / in-process inspection
  • Review and verify completed works including As-constructed certification
  • Final Inspection and signing off the project as complete / obtaining Statement of Compliance
  • Provide to the Senior Project Manager, monthly project reports that encompass program, budget, OH&S, Risks and contract letting
  • Prepare project cost estimate, including fee quotation. Provide advice to project financiers
  • Prepare tender documents that are appropriate and accurate
  • Analysis of construction drawings and specifications and awarding of subcontracts with assistance of contract administrators and others as required
  • Coordinate consultants on design and construct projects to ensure delivery and completion targets are met
  • Liaise with team members from Town Planning and Surveying Departments to ensure project requirements are being met
  • Supervise and coordinate Construction Manager and subcontractors

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience as construction project manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
