Civil Project Engineer Land Development CBD

My client has a diverse range of contracts and specialises within Greenfield Subdivision in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Your new role

  • Assist in all aspects of the delivery of projects as directed by the Client, Planning Permit Conditions and Authority agreements and conditions.
  • Know and understand the project site, Client's requirements and the project scope.
  • Assist and direct designer in the preparation of Engineering plans and schedules;
  • Check design plans in accordance with Company quality process (KTP), checklists and design certifications.
  • Undertake thorough site inspection to identify the scope of works for all required NDD (internal and external of site) to enable the design to be completed;
  • Assist in maintaining Project Management protocols and make recommendations to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct project site inspections / in-process inspection.
  • Be the onsite contact for the contractor/s to resolve design / constructability matters;
  • Provide regular feedback to PM and Designers concerning on site constructability issues
  • Assist with final inspection and signing off the project as complete / obtaining Statement of Compliance and release of reimbursements.
  • Assist in preparation for the Executives, monthly project reports that encompass program, budget, OH&S, Risks and contract letting.
  • Assist in the preparation Preliminary Project Estimate (PEC), including fee quotation. Provide advice to Project Managers.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documents that are appropriate and accurate.
  • Contract administration, certification of claims, contract budget control, and contractor dispute resolution.
  • Analysis of construction drawings and specifications and awarding of subcontracts with assistance of contract administrators and others as required.
  • Assist in coordinating consultants on design and construct projects to ensure delivery and completion targets are met.
  • Liaise with team members from Town Planning and Surveying Departments to ensure project requirements are being met.
  • Meet with Client, Authorities, designers, consultants or subcontractors to discuss project.
  • Supervise and coordinate Construction Manager and subcontractors.
