Now is the right time to add a Senior WHS Advisor to our multidisciplinary Sydney-based team. The role is based at our new Rhodes office, close to public transport and easy commuting.

You will play a critical role within a supportive team, developing and updating policies and procedures to make sure our people aren’t harmed, investigating and reporting accidents, and providing guidance to management on how to comply with legislation and code of practice. Regular travel will be required to visit our project sites across Australia - usually for 1 or 2 days per month.

Saunders operates on a One Team - One Goal - Zero Harm philosophy and the successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate this in all aspects of fullfilling the Senior WHS Advisor role.

The Right Person

  • has tertiary qualifications in work health and safety (WHS) or related field and extensive experience in WHS.
  • is able to understand, apply and communicate complex work health and safety processes and requirements.
  • holds a current Class C (minimum) Driver’s Licence.
  • has experienced with developing and implementing WHS Management Systems.
  • has demonstrated ability in facilitating WHS audits.
  • is confident with developing and delivering in-house presentations and training programs
  • is flexible in responding to a changing work environment.
  • be able to work within a team and unsupervised.
  • be willing and able to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test
  • show proof of right to work in Australia – please provide a valid passport (along with visa if applicable) or birth certificate.
