About the Position

The Planning & Environment Department within the Community & Liveability Division provides a range of services to the community and throughout the region aimed at enhancing the lifestyle, liveability and environment of the region. The Department provides a range of services and development initiatives; and plans and delivers urban, regional planning and building services across the Western Downs Region.

This role exists to provide a service to builders and customers to ensure a high level of service is provided throughout the region. This role is responsible for the assessment of building works and administration of the relevant building regulations, legislation, standards and Codes for the Western Downs Region.
